Meet Lisa Oleksiuk
I am Lisa Oleksiuk, an artist with a love for all things West Coast. Growing up on the prairies then moving to Vancouver Island gives me a feeling of endless joy to be near our ocean, in our forests and hiking our mountains. For me, art calms the mind and connects us with nature and the world around us. My journey began with a simple desire to create for my own enjoyment and now I am excited to share my art with others who love the West Coast!

My art is about viewing objects up close and personal, exploring colours, textures and the imperfections showing us there is beauty in all things! While my subjects vary from boats to landscapes to plants and beyond, my focus doesn't change - get up close and really see all the wonderful nuances you can discover.
Many of my paintings focus on the character of classic boats. I love to showcase the uniqueness of these boats and allow people to feel as if they are waiting to board them.
